Veit/Vonco V Offers Free Disposal to Aid in Flood Clean-up Efforts
To aid area residents in flood clean-up efforts, Veit/Vonco V has implemented an interim plan to help residents of West Duluth and Fond Du Lac to manage flood damaged household materials. Veit/Vonco V will waive disposal fees for flood damaged household materials at our facility located at1100 West Gary Street, Duluth. The facility will be open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 26 through Friday, June 29, 2012 and again on Saturday, June 30, 2012 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The following items will be accepted free of charge. Please separate loads by category:
Electronics- (TVs, VCR/DVD players, computer components, etc.)
Appliances- Refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, water heaters, stoves (remove and dispose of spoiled food/liquids in your household trash service)
Vegetative Debris- sticks, stumps, branches
Mixed Waste (bulky items)- carpet, padding, furniture, drywall, and other damaged materials
The following items are not accepted:
Household Hazardous Waste- paints, stains, chemicals, pesticides
Municipal Solid Waste – household garbage (food waste)
